Back
Using colour A, cast on 128 (138) 148 sts and purl the first row. Knit pattern until the work measures 20 (22) 24 cm. Knit stockinette stitch with colour A until the work measures 30 (32) 34 cm. Cast off 12 sts for the sleeves on each side. Keep knitting until the sleeve opening measures 19 (20) 22 cm. Transfer all the stitches to another needle and leave for the assembly.
Front pieces
Cast on 74 (80) 84 sts with colour A and knit as Back. Cast off 12 sts for sleeve on the right side. Do not cast off for neckline. When the work measures 30 (32) 34 cm, cast off 34 (38) 40 sts from the left, leaving the remaining stitches for the shoulder. Repeat for left front piece, casting off from the opposite side.
Sleeves 3/4
Cast on 72 (74) 80 sts with colour A and knit 10 rows starting with a purl row. Increase 1 st on each side every 6 rows until you have 106 (112) 120 sts. Knit until sleeve measures 34 (36) 38 cm. Cast off.
Making up
Holding the needles parallel, with the right sides of the work facing, knit together one stitch from each needle, casting off at the same time. When one shoulder has been completed, continue to cast off the 40 (42) 44 sts on the back neck until you get to the other shoulder, which is cast off as for the first. Sew the sleeves into the armholes, with the upper part of each side attached to the cast-off shaping. Sew up the sleeve and side seams in one go.
