Instructions
To make hair band sheath:
With light green yarn and 3mm needles cast on 14 sts All rows: K1 sl1, repeat to end Continue in the same way until work measures 8cm, change to 3.25 mm needles Tip: If your hairband is a little longer you can add length as needed in this section Continue in the same way until work measures 26cm Change back to 3 mm needles Continue in the same way until work measures 34 cm Divide alternate stitches onto two needles as shown, then keeping the work on the needles, turn the tube inside out so that the smooth side is now to the outside as shown.

Keeping the work on the needles, insert the hairband into the sheath and stretch the work over the hairband. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail through the 14 sts using a sewing needle and take the work off the needles. Draw up tightly to fully enclose the tip of the hairband, secure and weave in the end.
