Fuzzy Dice
Materials used:
US 9 (5.5mm) needles (I used 60cm circular for dice and DPN for i-cord) G (4mm) crochet hook Lion Brand Polarspun yarn- Candy Pink (Il used slightly less than 1 fullball) Red Heart Soft Yarn- Black (enough scraps to make 42 dots) Large eye, blunt tapestry needle 2 foam cubes measuring 10cm x 10cm x 10cm (squishy but firm)
Finished dimensions:
10cmx10cmx10cm cube
Notes:
..The Fuzzy Dice pattern is recommended for fuzzy/novelty yarns without a lot of stitch definition. It is worked in REVERSESTOCKINETTE stitch to maximize the fuzziness. For smooth yarn with nice stitch definition, use the Smooth asDiceversionofthepattern. ..To adapt pattern for a different gauge yarn or different size cubes: Knit a piece wide enough to easily (with stretching) wrap around 3 sides of your cube.Knitenoughlengthtoreachendof1sidewithoutmuch stretching. This will pull stitches to be wide and short rather than long and skinnywhichprevents holesfrom showing through.
Dice Shell/ Skin (make 2)
The outer shell of the dice is knit using the circular needles making a TShape that is 3"squares" wide and 4"squares" tall CO 31 1 (RS) K all 31 (makes an edge for sewing) 2 (WS) slip1 purlwise, K9, P1, K9, P1, K9, P1 3 (RS) slip1 knitwise, P9, K1, P9,K1, P9, K2 4 - 21 reprows2and3endingwithRSrow 22 BO 10 stitches loosely purlwise, P remaining stitches (21 stitches) 23 BO 10 stitches loosely knitwise, K1, P9, K1 (11 stitches) 24 (WS) slip 1 purlwise, K9, P1 25 (RS) slip 1 knitwise, P9, K1 26 - 42 reprows24and 25endingwithWSrow 43 K all (makes a false seam) 44 -63 rep rows 24 and 25 ending with RS row 64 P all(makes a false seam) 65 -84 rep rows 25 and 24 ending with WS row BO 11 stitches knitwise (makes and edge for sewing)
