Swimsuit only With coverup Materials Needed Size 4 US dpns (3.5mm) 2 ounces 3 ply yarn in 2 colors Note: In making the model, I ran out of the bit of orangish peachy color I had on hand and switched to just peach for the rest of the suit, and used off-white for the coverup. Top With Color A yarn, starting at lower edge, cast on 22. Row 1: Knit Row 2: Purl Row 3: Inc 1 in next st, k next 18 sts, inc 1 in next st, k last st. (24 sts) Row 4-6: Purl Row 7: Knit 4 sts, bind off 4 sts, knit 7 sts, bind off 4 sts, knit last 3 sts. (You will have 4 sts, a space for the first armhole, 8 sts, a space for the second armhole and 4 sts when this row is finished. Trust me, it works out here and on the coverup.) Row 8: Purl4 sts, cast on 6 sts, purl 8 sts, cast on 6 sts, purl last 4 sts (28 sts) Row 9-10: Knit Row 11: \* P2tog, P1 \*, repeat around (22 sts) Row 12: Knit Bind off and sew up back seam.
Bottom
With Color A yarn, cast on 18 sts. Row 1:Knit Row2:Purl Row 3: K2, inc 1 in next st, knit next 12 sts, inc 1 in next st, knit last 2 sts. (20 sts) Row 4: Purl Row 5: Knit Row 6: Purl Row 7: K2, inc 1 in next st, knit next 14 sts, inc 1 in next st, knit last 2 sts (22 sts) Row 8: Purl Row 9: Knit Row10:Purl Row 11: K2, inc 1 in next st, knit next 16 sts, inc 1 in next st, knit last 2 sts (24 sts) Row 12: Purl Bind off and cut yarn, leaving a tail long enough to sew center 2 sts tog to form legs, and sew bar
With Color B, cast on 26, loosely.
