Wispy Wrap
For any level knitter. Elegant, versatile wrap that can be worn as a long drapy scarf or sheer shawl. The main color yarn is a lace weight mohair and silk blend, and the contrast color yarn is a creamy soft bambooblend.
Materials used:
Main Color (MC): 2 skeins Cascade Kid Seta (25g, 230 yards each), color: 416 (white) Note: pattern closely uses the entire 2 skeins; it may be best to purchase an additional skein Contrast Color (CC): 3 skeins Bernat Bamboo (60g, 63 yards each), color: wicker Needles: circular needle size US 10%2 (6.5mm), tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Finished measurements:
deep; as wrap is very stretchy, it will hang vertically as a scarf to about 100" Gauge: not critical - stitches are loose compared to weight of the mohair yarr
Instructions:
With CC, cast on 275 stitches. Knit 2 rows. \*Change to MC and knit 12 rows. Change to CC and knit 2 rows. Repeat from \* 5 more times. Bind off all stitches, a little loosely. With yarn threaded on a tapestry needle, weave in all ends. Cover with a towel and steam lightly (be careful not to touch the yarn directly with the iron). Note: it is alright, even best, if the bind off row is still slightly tighter than the cast on side - it will create a nice wavy edge for the wrap when it hangs vertically.
