Rowan Kidsilk Haze Stripe Cowl
This wispy welted cowl is the perfect answer to a self-striping Kidsilk Haze. By using simple Wrap-And-Turns, the welts are accomplished with all knit stitches, making for mindless knitting kept entertaining by ever evolving colors!
Materials:
1 skein Rowan Kidsilk Haze Stripe (462yd/50g fingering weight silk/mohair blend) 16" circular needle size US8 (5.0mm) Spare needle or double-point in size Us 9 (5.5mm) for binding off Gauge: 3.5 sts and 6.5 rows = 1" in Stockinette stitch W&T: wrap and turn as follows, 1) Bring yarn forward 2) Slip marker to right needle, and slip next stitch purlwise 3)Put yarn to back 4) Put slipped stitch back on left needle, put marker back on left needle 5) Move yarn to the front, turn.


Begin: Cast on 160 stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist. \*Knit 10 rounds. At the end of the 10" round, W&T (you will now be facing the wrong side of the work and ready knit in the other direction).\* Repeat between \* 12 more times. Bind off loosely (we suggest using Jeny's Suprisingly Stretchy Bind Off) with a size US 9 needle. Weave in all ends and block lightly. Wear it loosely around your neck, or double it up for a snug, under-thecollar fit.
