Yarns used: super bulky wool such as: Debbie Bliss Como 50 g/ 42 m/ 46 yds, 90% wool 10% cashmere, Wraps per inch 5-6, Soft grey, Color No 19003. No. of balls: 1 or 2 if you want more wisps.

Measurements: about 2 apples tall @ Ready? Let's go! Wisp: Wisps are worked flat & sewn up. Crochet base is optional. All crochet terms in American English Standard.

Pattern notes:

Tension/gauge: With size US 15 needles cast on 14 stitches. Row 1: knit Row 2: purl Row 3: k2tog, k 10, k2tog Row 4: p2tog, p 8, p2tog Row 5: k2tog, k 6, k2tog Row 6: p2tog, p 4, p2tog Row 7: k2tog, k 2, k2tog Row 8: p2tog, p2tog Row 9: k2tog Pull yarn through final stitch and fasten off. Seam triangle into cone with a tapestry needle using whipstitch or mattress stitch. Work 10 sts to measure 4" in St stitch using 10 mm or US 15 needles and super bulky wool.

Notions:

A pair of 1o mm (US 15) straight needles, Tapestry needle, a bit of polyester or cotton stuffing. Size P crochet hook, decorative votive candle holders. Tiny owl stitch dictionary: ch: chain k: knit k2tog: knit the next two stitches together p: purl p2tog: purl the next two stitches together sc: single crochet ss: slip stitch Base: (It's a circle.) Work this part a bit tighter ok? With size P crochet hook, make a slipknot, ch 3, ss into first ch to form ring. round 1: ch 1, 7 sc into ring, ss into first ch 1. round 2: ch 1, 2 sc into each stitch around (14 sc) Break yarn.

Construction:

Stuff the little wisp with stuffing and seam the circular base to the wisp by using whipstitch all the way around. Now stuff the little guy into a votive candleholder. CUTE!
