Fresh From the Cauldron
I See c a... Bad Moon Rising..
Jennifer Mumme 2008 1 remember the first time I ever saw a blazing Harvest Moon crouched up iu the night sky. I was nine years old and it was Halloween night in the mountains of southeastern Tennessee. I remember feeling that it seemed so menacing sneaking and peaking around wispy grey clouds and ducking in out behind the trees. t was like a giant sinister eye keeping a baleful watch over the festivities of this All Hallows Eve... This colorway is a murky shades of a harvest woon home. Golds, burnt complimented with blacks shiny base. I chose a lot of the lunartheme. A picot rounded cuff, and the reminiscent ofthe Smokey Mountains. The and firey blend of all the and the velvet sky it calls orawges, and firey reds are and charcoal greys on a round elements to lend to edge gives a nice a scallops are even rounded peaks ofthe Great main motifis a

honeycomb cable that runs down the length of the sock, like how the moon travels across a night sky. Other distinguishing touches include side columns of twisted ribs that frame the center cables, and run down the length of both the foot and heel, as well as a simple eye of partridge heel to blend and showcase the rich colors while adding durability to the fabric. This sock has been knit on one circular needle using the magic loop method. it can be easily adapted to use with DPNs, or two circular needles.
