Materials:

350 yards of your favorite fingering weight yarn Sample: 1 Skein Sundara Yarn Silky Fingering ( $50\%$ silk $150\%$ Merino, 500 yards per 150 grams) Color: Aroma of Delight 1 set US 5 knitting needles, circular 36" or longer Stitch markers (4) Tapestry Needle

Gauge:

17 stitches and 24 rows per 4 inches after blocking. Gauge for shawl is flexible but will change the amount of yarn used. Gauge will vary greatly depending on the knitter and blocking. You may wish to adjust the needle size to create a fabric that you like.

There is a three-stitch garter border on each side of the shawl. These stitches are included in the written directions but omitted from the charts. Uast on 3 stitcnes Knit6rows Turn work 90 degrees and pick up 3 stitches along garter stitch edge Turn work 90 degrees and pick up 3 stitches from cast on edge Row 1(WS): k3, p3, k3 (9 stitches) Row 2: k3, pm, yo, k1, yo, pm, k1, pm, yo, k1, yo, pm, k3 (13 stitches) The stitch markers designate the three border stitches on each side and your center stitch. They should be slipped on all following rows.
