High Line

This hat is worked from the brim up seamlessly. The knit lines on the main body of the hat flow from the brim ribbing up to the crown where they finish at a point. The hat is unisex and suitable for babies up to large adult. is suitable for wool or wool blend yarns in worsted or aran weight
Gauge
19 sts x 26 rounds = 10cm or 4 inches in stockinette stitch using larger needles.

Fitted Beanie
Optional: The knit sts may be knit through the back of loops to give a sharper appearance to the lines. Using larger 4.5mm (US 7) needles cast on 64 (72, 78, 90, 96, 96) sts. Alternate cable cast on will give a neat edge. Join in the round, place marker for end of round. Using smaller 3.5mm (US 4) needles work \*k1, p1\* rib for 6 (8, 8, 10, 10, 12) rounds. ize only: At the end of the last round increase using M1 by 1 stitch. Total 65 s1 All sizes: Change to larger 4.5mm (US 7) needles. Make sure a knit st from the 1x1 rib is the first st of the next round. Next Round: [k1, p4 (5, 5, 5, 7, 7)] repeat to end of round. Repeat the round above until work measures: 10 (121%2, 14, 1514, 1612, 173/4) cm or 4 (5, 512, 6, 61%2, 7) inches from the cast-on edge.
Crown Shaping
Large and Extra-Large size only: Rnd A: (k1, p1, p2tog, p4) repeat to the end of round Rnd B: (k1, p6) repeat to the end of round. Repeat this round 0(0, 0, 0, 0, 1) time more. Rnd C: (k1, p1, p2tog, p3) repeat to the end of round. Rnd D: (k1, p5) repeat to the end of round. Repeat this round 0(0, 0, 0, 0, 1) time more. Toddler, Small, Medium, Large and Extra-Large only: Rnd A: (k1, p1, p2tog, p2) repeat to the end of round Rnd B: (k1, p4) repeat to the end of the round. Repeat this round 0(1, 1, 1, 0, 1) time more.

Rnd 1: (k1, p1, p2tog, p1) repeat to the end of rnd. Rnd 2: (k1, p3) repeat to the end of rnd. Repeat this rnd 2 (1, 1, 1, 0, 0) time more. Rnd 3: (k1, p1, p2tog) repeat to the end of round. Rnd 4: (k1, p2) repeat to the end of rnd. Repeat this rnd 2 (1, 1, 1, 0, 0) time more. Rnd 5: (k1, p2tog) repeat to the end of rnd. Rnd 6: (k1, p1) repeat to the end of round. Repeat this rnd 2 (1, 1, 0, 0, 0) time more. Rnd 7: k1, (k2tog) repeat to the last st, using the last st of this rnd and the first st of the next rnd k2tog. Continue doing k2tog until there are 6 sts remaining. Cut yarn leaving a few inches to thread though remaining sts, weave in ends. Block, wear, enjoy!

Beret
Using larger needles cast on 96 (96) sts. Alternate cable cast on will give a neat edge. Join in the round, place marker for end of round. Using smaller needles work \*k1, p1\* rib for 712 cm or 3 inches. Change to larger needles. Make sure a knit st from the ribbing is the first st of the round. Rnd 1: [k1, p7, M1] repeat to end of rnd. Rnd 2 & 3: [k1, p8] repeat to end of rnd. Rnd 4: [k1, p8, M1] repeat to end of rnd. Rnd 5 and 6: [k1, p9] repeat to end of rnd. Rnd 7: (k1, p9, M1) repeat to the end of rnd. Rnd 8 & 9: [k1, p10)] repeat to the end of rnd. Work in this manner increasing on every 3rd rnd until there 14 (16) purl sts between the knit spines. Work 2 rounds in pattern without any shaping.
Crown Shaping
Extra-Large size only: Rnd 1: (k1, p14, p2tog) repeat to the end of rnd. Rnd 2: (k1, p15) repeat to the end of rnd. Rnd 3: (k1, p13, p2tog) repeat to the end of rnd. Rnd 4: (k1, p14) repeat to the end of rnd. Large and Extra-Large Rnd i: (k1, p12, p2tog) repeat to the end of rnd Rnd i: (k1, p13) repeat to the end of rnd. Rnd ii: (k1, p11, p2tog) repeat to end of rnd. Rnd iv: (k1, p12) repeat to end of round. Rnd v: (k1, p10, p2tog) repeat to the end of rnd. Rnd vi: (k1, p11) repeat to the end of rnd. Keep decreasing on alternate rnds in the same way until there is only one purl st between the knit spines. Next rnd: k1, (k2tog) repeat to the last st, using the last st of this round and the first st of the next round k2tog. Continue doing k2tog until there are 6 sts remaining. Cut yarn leaving a few inches to thread though remaining sts, weave in ends. Damp block over a large dinner plate or a similar object. Wear and enjoy!
