Made with 2 balls of Merino/nylon wool 400 yards each
Knit on 4 mm needles Gauge is not really important sample blanket knit to 5 stitches per inch - pre blocking The blocks are 15 stitches wide and 18 rows high Blanket is 9 blocks wide and 12 blocks high. There is a 5 stitch garter stitch border to prevent the edges from curling Cast on 145 stitches. Knit 10 rows of garter stitch.
Block Set One:
Row 1: Knit 5, knit 15, (purl 15, knit 15) four times, knit 5. Row 2: knit 5, Purl 15, (knit 15, purl 15) four times, knit 5. Repeat rows 1 and 2 eight more times. This will create the first set of blocks
Block Set Two:
Row 3: Knit 5, Purl 15, (knit 15, purl 15) four times, knit 5. Row 4: Knit 5, knit 15, (purl 15, knit 15) four times, knit 5. repeat rows 3 and 4 eight more times. This will create the second set of blocks Repeat these 2 sections until you have 12 blocks and then finish with 10 knit rows to complete the garter stitch border.
