Gauge: 8 stitches per inch

List of Abbreviations:

RS - right side WS - wrong side W&T - wrap & turn CO - cast on BO - bind off K - knit P-purl MC - Mock Cable k2tog - knit 2 stitches together ssk - slip 1 stitch as if to knit, slip back to the left needle, knit 2 stitches together through the back loops st/s- stitch(es) sl1 - slip 1 stitch purl wise N1 - needle 1 N2 - needle 2 N3 - needle 3 N4 - needle 4 R - row

Technique:

mock cable -- Knit two together, leaving the stitches on the left-hand needle. Knit into the first stitch again and slide both off the needle

CO 64 sts

If using DPN's you will place stitches as follows: N1 - 18 st, N2 - 16 st, N3 & N4 15 st each If using Magic Loop or 2 circs place stitches as follows: N1 34 sts, N2 30 sts Cuff: Rnd 1-3: K2, P2 to end Rnd 4: MC, P2 to end Repeat these 4 rounds 2 more times, then work rounds 1-3 one more time.

Begin Chart

Follow Chart 1 for the front of the leg (N1 & N2), Follow Chart 2 for back of leg (N3 &N4) Repeat Charted pattern 7 times. Before beginning the heel you will want to move the 1st st from N1 to N4 and the last stitch from N2 to N3 before beginning. Knittes, you are free to chose whichever heel & toe method you prefer,the ones in this pattern are just a guideline!

Heel Flap:

R1 (WS) - purl across all sts R2 (RS) - sl1, k1 to end repeat these 2 rows until heel measures $3^{\prime\prime}$ ending on WS row.

Heel Turn

sl1, K18, ssk, K1, turn sl1, P7, p2tog, p1, turn sl1, knit to 1 stitch before gap, ssk, k1, turn sl1 purl to 1 stitch before gap, p2tog, p1, turn repeat until all stitches have been worked, 20 stitches remain.

Gusset

Pick up and knit 16-18 stitches from flap on N4 Knit across N1 & N2 Pick up and knit 16-18 stitches from flap on N3 N4 - knit to last 3 stitches, k2tog K1 N1-2 - knit N3 - k1, ssk knit to end Repeat decrease section on gusset until 32 stitches remain on N3 & N4 Continue working on Stockinette stitch until foot measures $1.5^{\prime\prime}$ less than desired foot length.

Toe

R1 - N1 K1, ssk, knit to last 3 on N2 k2tog, K1. N3 K1, ssk, knit to last 3 on N4 k2tog,K1 R2 - knit repeat these 2 rounds until 36 stitches (total) remain, then begin working just R1 until 16 stitches (total) remain. Graft or 3 needle bind off and weave in ends!
