WINE GLASS SLIP-ON COASTERS

These make a great gift as a set for your imbibing friends. This little design was first published without the photos and description as a mystery knit-along.

Approx. 2 %" (7cm) unstretched

Materials

Small amount of sport weight cotton yarn with a touch of elastic such as Cascade Fixation or Elann Esprit. Set US Size 2 (2.75mm) double point needles Set US Size 5 (3.75mm) double point needles or size needed to obtain gauge Crochet hook size F

Gauge

6 sts = 1" over stockinette stitch

1. Please use one of the suggested yarns for best results! The elastic will prevent sagging soggy-diaper syndrome if the coaster gets especially wet. 2. This project uses a crocheted cast on by Emily Ocker because it is tidy and is joined in a round. With crochet hook, cast on 6 sts. Using smaller sized needles, slip stitches onto 3 needles evenly spaced. Rnd 1: knit Rnd 2: (m1, k1) 6 times = 12 sts.

Change to larger sized needles.
