Beauyolais Fingerless Mitts Knitting Pattern with Grape Motif for Wine Lovers, Unisex, Various Sizes

beauyolais

Quick to knit and fun to wear, these fingerless mitts feature a "bunch of grapes" motif made from simple bobbles. Whether for quaffing a glass on an autumn evening, or picking the grapes to make your own, these would make a quirky gift for the wine lover in your life & would suit a woman or a man. I've knitted them in super-soft, super-warm, super-lovely Artesano Alpaca DK.

Materials:

One 50g ball Artesano Alpaca DK or up to 100m / 109yds of the standard DK-weight yarn of your choice. One set 3mm (US 2 1/2) and one set 3.75mm (US 5) DPNS. 2 stitch markers. Waste yarn or stitch holder.

Special stitch:

Bobble - K1, yo, k1 all into the same stitch. Turn, p3. Turn, k3. Turn, p3, then pass the first 2 stitches one at a time over the last stitch worked. Turn so right side of work is facing you again. The bobble stitch should now be on your left hand needle. Slip this stitch onto right hand needle and continue.
