The Pattern:
These flowers are worked in the round. Only join rounds with a slip stitch where indicated. Round 1: make 5 dc into a magic ring (5dc) Round 2: 2dc into each stitch (10dc) Round 3: [2htr, 1htr] x 5 (15dc) Round 4: dc in next stitch, [ch5, skip 2dc, dc in next stich] x 4, ch5, SS into 1st dc of the round Round 5 (first round of petals): make [dc,2htr, tr, 2ch, tr, 2htr, dc] into each 5-ch space made in round 4. (5 petals) Round 6 (second round of petals): \*skip dc, dc into 1st htr, 2htr into next htr, 2tr into next tr [2dtr, 2ch, 2dtr] into 2-ch space from round 5, 2tr into next tr, 2htr into the next htr and dc into the final htr, skip last dc\*\* Repeat from \* to \*\* 5 times. SS into first dc of the round to finish. Tie off yarn and weave in ends. Crochet 14 flowers, or as many as you would like to achieve desired length.

Joining the flowers:
This requires a little patience. Arrange the flowers as shown in the diagram below (one up, one down). You can join them any way you fancy but I used 2 methods for extra security. 1- Thread a length of yarn though all the flowers along the underside. Try and do this so that the yarn is invisible by weaving it through the back of the stitches. This gives extra security but the flowers can slide about along the yarn. Therefore, step 2 is also a good idea. 2- Tie each petal at the point of contact with a strong reef knot. The scarf can be blocked either before or after joining the motifs. This really helps to keep the flowers flat.
