Slouchy Sleepers (legwarmers)

Materials: 150g Regia 6-fadig Square Color, tapestry needle Needles: 2.5mm dpns or long circular needle, or needle size needed to get gauge. Gauge: 7 sts per inch (2.5cm), row gauge does not matter Skills required for pattern: knowledge of Jenny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. Cat Bordhi has a wonderful video that demonstrates this on her YouTube channel. http://www.youtube.com/watch? V=abBhe-JYmgI and Long-tail cast on is best as well. Notes: Legwarmers are worked in the round, either on DPN's, Magic Loop, or 2 circular needles. The cast-on and bind off suggested are so the edges will be as stretchy as possible as to get over the leg properly. Instructions (Make 2): Cast on 56 sts, being careful not to twist the stitches. Divide over your needles evenly and work in k2, p2 rib for 1.5 inches (4cm). Then, work following pattern 9 times, then follow with 5 rows of knit and 1.5 inches (4cm) more of k2, p2 ribbing. Bind off in pattern using the Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off and weave in all ends using your tapestry needle. Your legwarmers can be worn either gathered, will all the purl rounds tucked together like an accordion, or stretched out to make them as long as possible. I call them “sleepers" because I prefer to wear them over my socks and under my pajama pant legs so when I move, I won't get those 4-5 inches of cold that happens when my pants ride up and expose skin.
