RULES

Slip the Ist stitch of every row as ifto purl with yarn to the front, then, bring yarn back to knit the next stitch. (this also includes the Ist stitch of the short row turns) Short row turn every 5 stitches forward to the end of the row and every 5 stitches back to the beginning of the row. This means there will be a stitch marker every 5 stitches. The Ist stitch of the new wedge will always be kitbl. Increase every 4th row on CC/increasing wedge. All increases are Kf&b. Every 5th increase means you place a new marker. If you start with placing marker #1, and incrementally add markers as you increase on the right hand side of your CC wedge, the higher numbers will be closest to the beginning of the row. As you are working a MC wedge, the lower numbers will be closer to the beginning of the row. When you reach the edge where your non-working yarn is, catch this yarn by bringing the working yarn under it before you slip your stitch of the next row. On non-gap rows leave the non-working yarn to the front. On gap rows bring the non-working yarn to the back as you slip the stitch.

RULES (cont.)

Once all short rows are done, work to the end of the row and back to close the gaps of the short rows. I will call these 2 rows the gap rows. Once a wedge is complete slide work to the other end of the circular needle and start next wedge there. When working your CC/increasing wedge, it's your Ist row, you need to increase, and only have I stitch before your Ist marker, use the stitch past the marker, kf&b, then turn. Make sure marker is in correct position before moving forward. When working your CC/increasing wedge, it's your Ist row, you don't have to increase and you only have I stitch before your Ist maker, work to next marker then turn. When working your CC/increasing wedge, it's your last short row before your gap rows, you don't have to increase, and you have only I stitch before your Ist marker, just work the gap rows. When working your CC/increasing wedge, it's your last short row before your gap rows, you have to increase, and you have only I stitch before your Ist marker, use the stitch past the marker, kf&b, then turn. Make sure marker is in correct position before moving forward. Then work gap rows. When working MC wedge, it's your last short row before your middle row (the one that reaches the left edge of your work), and there is only I stitch after the last marker, just work to the end.(this prevents a hole forming at this edge) This row will become the middle row. The next row you can work to that last stitch marker and continue the short rows back to the beginning.
