By Jenny Ronnlund Yarn: Drops Alpaca, less than two skeins + contrasting yarn. Needles:2.0mm Start by making a scalloped cast on \*. Cast on 12 scallops and 2 stitches in between (total 48 st). Do not join to a circle. Knit a purl row. Change yarn. Knit 5 rows stockinette. Row 6, increase 1 stitch in each end (50 st).

Row 8, thumb increase: 11 st from edge. Make 1, knit 1, make 1. (52 st) Row 10, increase 1 stitch in each end + thumb increase, make 1, knit 3, make 1 (56 st) Row 12, in the end, cast on 3 st with backwards loop cast on² and join the loop +thumb increase, make 1, knit 5, make 1 (61 st). Row 14, thumb increase, make 1, knit 7, make 1 (63 st). Row 18, 22, 26, 30, 34 and 38 do the thumb increase, make 1, knit X+2, make 1 (75 st). Leave the 21 thumb stitches on a scrap of yarn and cast on 2 stitches (56 st) Fingers: Knit until the beginning of the little finger (row 52 for me). Set 7+7 stitches on a scrap of yarn and cast on 4 stitches, join, and knit 3 rows more. Now knit and cast on according to the picture below. Knit the fingers as long as you need them, decrease equally around and take the yarn through the last 6-7 stitches or so. Take a cup of tea diluted with spirits and darn in all the ends. Make a buttonloop by crocheting one. Attach a button. Done!
