PM - Place marker Sizes: M (L) XL (1XL) 2XL Bust measurement: 85-93 (93-100) 100-108 (105-113) 113-120 cm Waistline: 64-70 (70-78) 78-85 (85-93) 93-100 cm Hip measurement: 90-98 (98-103) 103-110 (110-118) 118-125 cm Cast on 152 (164) 176 (188) 200 stitches. Join in to a circle, be careful not to twist. PM, k1, p1 for 10 rows. PM when you have knitted 76 (82) 88 (94) 100 stitches. Knit stockinette for about 25 cm. (The thought is that the dress will end 5 cm above the knee, so measure from the widest point on your hip to 5 cm above the knee, then you know if 25 cm also is good for your dress) On the next round you will place 4 markers and reduce by 4. Knit 10 stitches, PM, ssk, knit until you have 14 stitches before next marker, k2tog, PM, Knit 10, SM, Knit 10, PM, ssk, knit until you have 14 stitches before next marker, k2tog, PM, Knit 10. Now you have knitted the first reduction row, knit 7 rows. Repeat 5 times, so you have a total of 6 reduction rows. When you are done with the reductions you should have 128 (140) 152 (164) 176 stitches on your knitting. Now you knit 30 cm stockinette stitch + 4 stitches on the next row. Or as far as you measure from waist to armpit. Put the work aside and start knitting the arms. The arms are designed as 3/4. And here it's more difficult as a designer to count out a good arm length for everyone. The easiest way is to measure your upper arm where it's biggest and multiply that with 1,6 (your number for st/cm from your test knit). Then measure your arm just under your elbow and multiply that with 1,6 (your number for st/cm from your test knit). Then you know how many stitches to cast on, and how many they have to be after all increases. But to make it a little easier for you I have counted out the numbers for MY arm. So have that in mind and use the numbers you have counted. I have even put out a _ so you can write in your own number.) 28 cm — x 1,6 st/cm = 44,8. Cast on 44 stitches on double pointed needles join into a circle, be careful not to twist. Place a marker here so you know where the row begins. Knit 1, P1 for 10 rows. My arm is 40 cm_ (-5 cm for the ribbing so 35 cm is the magic number here) and then the arm is 36 cm in circumference where it shall be joined whit the dress. 36 cm x 1,6 st/cm = 57,6 = 58 stitches. That's a increase on 14 _ st on 35 cm. And sense we increase one stitch on each side of the marker (under the arm) it makes 7 increase rows on 35 cm _, i.e. Every 9:Th row is a increase row (if we divide 35 cm with 8 (one more than the number or increase number) \~4,37 =4,5 and 4,5 cm is 9 rows.) After ribbing \*knit 9 __rows, Increase row 1: k2, M1, knit until 2 st before marker, M1, k2.\* Repeat \* - \* 6 more times. Then knit stockinette until arm measures 40 cm _ +4 stitches on next row. Cut yarn, but leave a yarn tale long enough for grafting. Put the arm aside and knit the other. (Write down the numbers that you need, to make it easier) Now we have come to the part where the dress and the arms join. Take the dress part PM and continue knitting from where you stopped, remove 2 stitch markers, knit until 4 stitches before next marker (the following 8 on the dress you do put on a yarn tail or a big safety pin), PM, take one arm continue knitting where you stopped, knit until 4 stitches before next marker, (the following 8 on the arm you put on a yarn tail) PM, then knit the other dress part, knit and remove 2 stitch markers, knit until 4 stitches before next marker (the following 8 on the dress you put on a yarn tail), Take the other arm, continue knitting where you left it, knit until 4 stitches before next marker, (the following 8 on the arm you put on a yarn tail). @ 2o13 Annika's Allehanda, Annika Roos-Gäddnäs These knitted dresses can not be sold, just for personal use. Now you have knitted the first row on your yoke. Knit another row and the stitches should be as follow M, 56 (62) 68 (74) 80, M, 50 (arm) — , M, 56 (62) 68 (74) 80, M, 50 (arm) — , If you don't have the same numbers on your arm, you have to write in your own number. The neck should be 65 cm, about 104 stitches. And the stitch number now is 212 (224) 236 (242) 260, the yoke should be about 20 cm. A decrease row is knitted like this. [k2, ssk, knit until 4 before next marker, k2tog, k2, SM] repeat [] 3 more times and the increase row is knitted. Knit 2 rows , [increase row, knit 1 row] repeat [ ] x 14 (15) 16 (17) 18 more times. Knit 2 rows. When your done you should have 100 (104) 108 (112) 116 stitches. K1, P1 for 10 rounds, bind of loosely. Graft the stitches under the arm, finish all loose ends. .
