Head and Body:
Take a pipe cleaner, bend into a loop leaving about a cm at either end to twist together into a 'neck.Twist $2^{\mathsf{n d}}$ pipe cleaner around neck so that either end stick out evenly as 'arms'. Starting 1.5cm from the end of one arm begin wrapping pink wool around the pipe cleaner, trapping the end of the yarn in place. Work towards the end of the arm, fold the worked section in half and continue to wrap wool over doubled up nob to form a "hand'. Continue to wrap wool around arm working towards the neck, ensuring that all the pipe cleaner is covered. At neck commence wrapping wool around neck then, placing a piece of cotton wool into loop, wrap yarn around loop in all directions so that 'head' is completely covered. Continue wrapping along second arm. Fold last 1.5cm section over to form another hand. Using a sewing needle pull the end of the yarn through the hand so that it is fixed in place.

Alice's hair is formed by lying 18 strands of $9"$ long yellow wool over the top of the head and stitching them down the centre back in a 'parting'. Plait up either side using one piece to tie the ends. For the Queen wrap brown wool around your three fingers 10-15 times. Using the ends stitch the loops onto the top of the head so that they form a bun at the bottom. Sew the bonnet to the back of the head just above this bun by it's cast off edge. Embroider two French knots on front of head for eyes and a chain stitch for the mouth.
To complete cosy:

Fit bodice over head and arms and stitch into place. Join seams of skirt leaving a hole on either side for spout and handle. Sew skirt round the base of the bodice. For Alice only, catch apron in place around the bottom of the bodice and tie the ends at the back. Embellish Queen's skirt with a black heart in backstitch.
