HURDLE STITCH IPHONE COZY

MATERIALS
20g or 25 yards of DK or worstedweight yarn [Shown in Mirasol Akapana (black), Sirdar Supersoft Aran (blue), Rowan Tapestry (pastels) and Twilleys of Stamford Freedom Spirit (multicoloured)] 4mm double pointed needles or circular needle (for magic loop), or size needed to get gauge Needle for sewing up
GAUGE
10 stitches and 16 rows in pattern stitch over 2x2 inch
This is a fun and quick knit with an interesting hurdle stitch pattern.
It fits the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPod classic models, or other phones of similar size. The ribbed opening stops the iPhone from sliding out and the hurdle stitch pattern adds detail and makes the cozy thicker and more protective.
Instructions
. Cast on 24 stitches, leaving a 6 inch tail with which to sew up the bottom when finished. · Spread stitches equally over 3 DPN's or make a magic loop on a circular needle. · Join in the round, being careful not to twist. Place round marker in front of the last stitch. · Row 1 - knit · Row 2 - purl · Row 3 - (K1, P1) to end · Next row - (Kl, Pl) to end . Repeat this row 2 more times · Cast off loosely in rib ·. Sew the bottom of the cozy together.
