This pattern is for two different flowers, one with pointed petals (shown in purple) and one with round petals (in pink and in red). I made them with bells in the centre as rattles for my niece but you can just as easily knit a centre if you prefer. The centre, sepals and band are the same for both, just the petals are different.
You will need:
Any green double-knit yarn Flower-coloured double knit yarn 2cm wide bell or contrasting colour of yarn for centre 3.25mm needles (US 3) (UK 10)

Making up rounded-petal flower
Over-sew the cast on edge of the small petals. Sew the increase edges of each petal together to form a circle. For each petal, sew the cast-on edges together so that the petal is folded in half and the gap between the petals is closed If you're using a bell, sew it into the centre of the three small petals now Sew the increase edges of the big petals together. Fold the petals in half and over-sew the inner cast-on edges, closing the gap between the petals. Sew the set of smaller petals into the larger set, off-set so that the centres of the inner petals align with the gaps of the Outer petals. If needed, thread yarn into the larger petals, running it between the two layers and through the increase edges and use it to draw the petals more closely together.
