Fig leaf - a Lykkefanten design
About the pattern:
The Fig leaf is one of those patterns that come out of nowhere, or rather out of mischievousness. I got the idea when listening to the Terry Pratchett Discworld novel “Going Postal" where a statue is described as "“having a fig leaf, cause of being classical". A lot of statues around where Ilive are sadly fig leaf-less, so I thought, why not do something about that? The Fig leaf can be used both for dressing up statues or as a costume part (I would advice wearing a"nude suit" underneath). Either way, lots of fun can be had. Sizes: one size About sizing:The size of the fi leaf can easilybe changed byusing smaller (orlarger needles and thinner (thicker) yarn. Materials: around 17 g of Malabrigo Worsted or similar yarn 61/2mm needle, crochet hook of similar size Gauge: 18 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinet stitch.
Pattern abbreviations:
k2tog - knit two stitches together sl2, k1, psso - slip 2 sts as if to k2tog, k1, pass the slipped sts over stbl - slip 1 st k-wise, put st back on left needle (keeping new orientation), k2togtbl
