Spiffy Little Acorn

Pattern illustration

Materials:

2.50mm (size 1 %) double pointed needles - or any size according to size of yarn. ?DK yarn - or any size you want to use - in 2 different colours Tapestry needle for weaving in ends Small amount of stuffing Gauge: Doesn't really matter as long as the stitches aren't loose. You don't want the stuffing to showthrough.

Abbreviations:

co-cast on Kfb - increase by knitting into the front and back of the stitch K2tog - decrease by knitting two stitches together as one stitch Sts-stitches

Note:

This pattern starts with the cap and works down to the body of the acorn. If you want to hang the acorn up as a decoration, simply leave a long tail at the beginning to make a loop (as shown in the photo opposite). I love knitting with double pointed needles, but if you're not used to it then you may find this pattern a bit fiddly.
