Materials
One $50\mathrm{g}$ ball each in red, blue and white of any Aran Weight Yarn. Pictured flower uses Debbie bliss Cash merino Aran in shades 205 and 25 and Romney Aragon yarn in shade Holly Berry. $5\:\mathsf{m m}$ needles Brooch back or safety pin Small lengths of ribbon Darning needle and needle and thread
Tension is not essential
Use correct needle size for whichever yarn used -substituting any other weight of yarn will simply result in flowers of differing sizes

One size Actual size approx 14 cm diameter
Pattern
Using 5 mm needles and blue, cast on 140 sts and, kniting straight, work four rows st st, beg with a k row. Change to red and work four further rows st st, then change to white and work two rows st st. Row 13: \*Knit ten sts, rotate the work on left hand needle 360 degrees, rep from \* to end of row. Work three rows st st, beg with a p row. Next row: (k2tog) across row. 70sts Cast off all sts, or break offyarn, thread through rem sts and pull up gently to create a spiral shape with the knitting. Arrange 'petal' strip in a circular, layered spiral and fasten by sewing along edge at back of corsage. Weave in loose ends. Fold lengths of ribon ina loops and attach bysewing at back of corsage, withright sides of ribbon showing at the front. Sew brooch back or safety pin to back of cor sage, nearing the top centre to ensure an even 'hang'.
