2.5mm double pointed needles 2 stitch markers Yarn needle for finishing

measured over 5cm of fair isle knitting 14 sts 18rows Gauge is not important as long at stitches are tight enough to hold the stuffing in. Gauge will affect the finished size.

Leave long tails (about 20 cm) when casting on to use when sewing up. If you don't have white yarn work the pompom tails in the main colour.

Ears
Using MC cast on 6 sts. Rnd 1: \*K1, p1; rep from \* to end. Rnd 2: \*P1, k1; rep from \* to end. These two rows make moss stitch. Work moss stitch for 12 rnds more. Rnd 15: K1, p1, k2tog, k1, p1. 5 sts Rnd 16: P1, k1, p1, k1, p1. Rnd 17: P1, sl1, k2tog, psso, p1. 3 sts Rnd 18: Sl1, k2tog, psso. Cut yarn, pull through the remaining st and secure and sew in the end.
Finishing
(the same for both)
Stuff body and legs firmly and close the seams with mattress stitch. Stuff the bottom half of the arms quite firmly and the top half very lightly. Close the seams with mattress stitch. Attach the legs to the bottom of the body and sew the arms flat at the sides of the rabbit. Fold the ears in half at thebase and sew them in this folded position to the top of the head. Embroider a nose and mouth. Sew on button eyes or embroider eyes for children under 3. Make pompom tail and sew into the back of the bunny at the bottom.
