Knitting Pattern for Red Rectangle Nebula Dishcloth by Carol Schoenfelder, Featuring a Unique Protoplanetary Nebula Design Inspired by Astronomy

Red Rectangle Nebula dishcloth Copyright @ Carol Schoenfelder - February 2011

Materials:

1 skein Cotton Yarn (Sample uses Peaches & Creme “Red".) US #7 (4.5mm) Knitting Needles

Notes:

The design is of the Red Rectangle Nebula, a protoplanetary nebula discovered in 1973. It lies near the constellation Monoceros (or Unicorn) -- discovered by William Herschel in 1781. The nebula is distinctive, obviously, due to its rectangular shape and red color.
