Foot circumference [unstretched]: 5 inches Please note: this fabric has a lot of give so this really doesn't mean munch when it comes to figuring out size. Leg length: 7 inches
Ingredients
2 skeins of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in "Downy" 5 US 1 double-pointed needles Darning needle Removable stitch marker or safety pin 1xl Twisted Rib (even number of sts) Round 1: $\star_{\sf K I}$ through the back loop, Pl, repeat from 3x2 Slipped Stitch Rib (multiple of 5 sts) Round 1: $\star_{\sf K2}$ ,Kl through the back loop, P2, repeat from \* Round 2: $\star_{\sf K I}$ ; Sl 1 (as if to purl WITH yarn held back), Kl through the back loop, P2, repeat from \* Instructions
Cuff
Cast on 60 sts. Divide sts evenly onto 4 needles, 15 sts each on each needle. Join into a round.(Pretty please don't forget to make sure you don't twist your sts.) Mark end of round with stitch marker or safety pin. Work lxl Twisted Rib for lh inches
Leg
Begin 3x2 Slipped Stitch Rib pattern and work until the leg length measures 7 inches (or desired length). End with Round 1.
Heel Flap
K 15 sts (all the sts on Needle #l), turn Sl 1, P 29 across (sts on Needle #1 and #4), turn Work heel back and forth, turning at the end of every row. Row1: $^{\star}S\bot1$ , Kl, repeat from \* till end Row 2: S11, P29 Repeat these last two rows 17 more times.
Turn Heel
Row l: Sll, K16, SSK, Kl, turn. Row 2:Sl1, P5, P2tog, P1, turn. Row 3: Sll, K within 1 st of the gap, ssk, kl, turn. Row 4: Sll, P within 1 st of the gap, P2tog, Pl, turn. Work Rows 3 and 4 until all the sts have been work. (18 sts)
Heel gusset
Sll, K17 sts, pick up and Kl8 sts along the side of the heel flap. Work the 30 instep sts in established Slipped Stitch Ribbing pattern (Round 2). With an empty needle, pick up and Ki8 sts along the other side of the heel flap, K 9 sts from the heel needle. There are now 27 sts on Needle #1, 15 sts on Needle #2, 15 sts on Needle #3, and 27sts on Needle #4. Round 1: K to 3 sts from the end of Needle #l, k2tog, kl. Work instep sts in established Slipped Stitch Rib pattern. Kl, SSK at beginning of Needle #4. Knit to end. Round 2: K all stitches on Needle #l, Work instep sts in established Slipped Stitch Rib pattern, K all stitches on Needle #4. Repeat these two rounds until there are 15 sts on each needle (60 sts total).
Foot
Continue even in established pattern until the foot measures l inches short of desired overall length. End with Round l of Slipped Stitch Rib pattern.
Toe
Round 1: Work to 3 sts from the end of Needle #l, K2tog, K1. Kl, SSK at beginning of Needle #2, K until 3 sts from end of Needle #3, K2tog, Kl.Kl, SSK at beginning of Needle #4. K to end. Round 2: K all sts. Repeat these two rounds until you are left with 8 sts (or 6 sts of you have a narrower foot) on each needle. K sts on Needle #l. Move sts from Needle #4 over to #l. Then move the other sts onto one needle as well. Graft sts together via Kitchener. Garnish with celery stalk and lemon wedge. Enjoy.
