Materials

100 g fingering weight yarn size 2.25 mm needles or size to give gauge Gauge 8 stitches and 10 rows equals one inch CUFF Cast on 68 stitches. Join without twisting the stitches. Repeat the cuff chart below 4 times around for a total of 12 rows

LEG Work leg following chart around (4 times) through row 44, then repeat rows 39 through 44 for 6" or desired length to heel. PLEASE NOTE: PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO THE ROW NUMBERS SOME CHART ROWS AREREPEATED3TIMES Heel flap Row 1 sl1, K1 across 34sts, turn Row 2 sll, purl 33, turn Repeat these two rows 16 times more, for a total of 17 repeats Heel turn Row 1- sl 1, knit 19, ssk, K1, turn Row2 - sl 1, p8, p2tog, p1, turn Row 3- sl 1, knit 9, ssk, K 1, turn Row 4 - sl 1, p10, p2tog, p 1, turn Continue in this manner until all stitches are used - 20 sts left

Gusset

On heel, knit 10 stitches. With new needle knit remaining 10 stitches and pick up and knit 16 sts along side edge.(needle1) With needle 2 knit across 34 instep stitches in pattern. Pick up 16 sts along side edge and knit 10 from original needle. This is needle 3. N3 Rnd 1 - Work to last 3 sts on N1 then k2tog, K1. N2 - instep in pattern N3- K1, ssk, k to end Rnd 2- even, always working instep in pattern Continue these two rows until 68 sts remain, Work instep in pattern and bottom of foot in st st until 2 / inches shorter than desired length. Toe (all in st st) Knit one row Rnd 1- N1-kto last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. N2- k1, ssk, kto last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. N3- k1, ssk, k to end Rnd 2 -even Repeat these 2 rounds until 28 sts left, or 22 total rows. Kitchener toe seam
