Notes
This pattern is worked by completing the curtain patterns (C1, C2, C3, and C4). All of the curtain sections are worked by alternating two rows in Yellow (Y) and two rows in Green (G). Don't forget to change colors as you go. Motif squares are worked separately and then joined to the Curtain sections. Final embellishments are added for the moon and stars.
Stitch Guide
Beginning Double Crochet (Begdc):
Turn your work so that the working yarn is in front of your stitch, pull the loop on your hook until it is the height of your dc stitch. Holding the top of the loop to your hook, yo the bottom of the loop and then yo working yarn, pull through first loop, yo and pull through 2 last loops on hook. The stitch will resemble a dc stitch.
Curtain 1 Decrease sequence (C1dec):
Row 1: Begdc, dc in next dc, repeat across to last st, turn leaving last st unworked Row 2: Begdc, dc2tog 2 times, dc in next dc and in each dc across Row 3: Begdc, dc in each dc across to last 3 st, dc2tog. Turn leaving last st unworked Row 4: Repeatrow2 Row 5: Repeat row 3

Motif Squares:
Follow the color grid provided. The squares are worked in a "join as you go" (JAYG) technique and then a whip stitch is used to join the curtains to the motif squares.
First Motif Square:
Row1: Ch 4, sl in beginning ch to form a loop Row2: (RS) Ch 5 (counts as first dc, ch 2), \*3 dc in chain loop, ch 2, \* repeat from \* to \* 3 times, 2 dc in chain loop, join with sl in 3'd st of beginning chain, do not turn - (12 dc, 4 ch 2 sp) Row3: Sl st in next ch 2 sp, ch 6 (counts as first dc, ch 3), \*2 dc in ch 2 sp, dc in next dc, ch1, skip next dc, dc in next dc\*, 2 dc in ch 2 sp, ch 3, \*\* repeat from \* to \*\* 3 times, then work \* to \* 1 time, join with sl in 3rd st of beginning ch, do not turn - (24 dc, 4 ch 1 sp, 4 ch 3 sp) Row4: Ch 1, \*(2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in ch 3 sp, sc in next 3 dc, sc in ch 1 sp, sc in next 3 dc\*, repeat \* to \* 4 times, sl st in first sc, fasten off. - (44 sc, 4 ch 2 sp)
Half Motif Square:
Row 1: Ch 4, sl st in beginning ch to form a loop Row 2: Ch 5 (counts as first dc, ch 2), \*3 dc, ch 2\*, repeat \* to \*3 times, 2 dc, sl st in 3 ch of beginning ch, turn - (8 dc, 3 ch 2 sp) Row 3: Ch 6 (counts as first dc, ch 3), \*2dc in ch 2 sp, dc in next dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in ch2 sp, ch 3\*, repeat \* to \* once, dc in ch 2 sp, turn - (14 dc, 2 ch 1 sp, 3 ch 3 sp) Row 4: (Joining Row) Ch 1, (sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in ch 3 sp, \*sc in next 3 dc, sc in ch 1 sp, sc in next 3 dc\*, (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in ch 3 sp, repeat from \* to\* once, (2 sc, ch 2, sc) in last ch 3 sp, fasten off. - (24 sc, 3 ch 2 sp)
Motif JAYG:
This "join as you go" technique uses sc to tie each motif together. Work this JAYG when needing to join motifs in Row 4. If you don't wish to use the JAYG technique then he motif squares can also be sewn together. Once all motifs are completed and joined, the curtains should be attached to the motif squares. Holding RS together, using Y, whip stitch the curtains to the motif squares.
