Knitting Pattern for Funky Garments: Bubbles Gloves for Boys with Twisted Stitch Panel and Seamless Shape

Funky garments for boys can be a hard thing to get right. This pattern has a visually simple but engaging twisted stitoh panel, and a very "useful" seamless shape, knit in the round. Matoh this with a washable yarn in the “right" colour, and it is bound to be a hit, both to wear and oreate. Bring it, Winter!

Tools:

3.25mm, 4mm circular needles, cable needle, stitch holder, 3 markers.

Gauge:

22sts x 32rows over 4"/l0cm, Stockinette, on 4mm needles. Yarn used: James C. Brett Marble DK[%l00 acrylic; 220m/l00g]; colour:MT26. 1ba1l . CUFF With 3.25mm needle, C0 27(33,36)sts, PMa, and join to work in the round. Round l: [P2, K tbl] to end. Repeat 12(14,17)) more rounds.

HAND

Using 4.00mm needles, Kl3(l6,l8) palm sts, PMb, work round l of chart. Working stockinette on the palm, work l(3,5） more rounds. On the last round, PMc \*after 3 palm sts\* for thumb gusset incs.

THUMB GUSSET

Keeping the rest of glove pattern correct, Work thumb gusset pattern between markers a and c for 8(ll,l4) rounds. Round l: pu, K3, pu. All intermediate rounds: K. Round 4:pu, K5, pu. Round 7:pu, K7, pu. Round l0:pu, K9, pu. Round l3: pu, Kll, pu. Slide all gusset sts onto a holder to work thumb later.

PALM

FIRST FINGER

With 4mm needle, K4(5,6) sts off palm, c0 2, slip 4(5,5) back sts onto the other end of 4mm needle, and knit them. ll(l2,l3） sts. K 12(14,16) rounds. rounds. Break yarn, pull through all sts, and fasten of:

SECOND FINGER

MAKING UP

Weave in all ends, drawing closed any gappy bits at the edges of cast on sections.

LEFT HAND
