Use With: Crystal Palace Fjord (pickcolors that correspond to skin color and hair color you would like for the bag.) Directions: Workig fro the tp down: With smaller needles cast on 40 sts in chosen hair color (HC) and join sts to work the round being careful not to twist stitches. Work garter stitch for four rows (knit one row, purl the next)
Round 5: work eyelet round as follows: ${}^{\star}\mathbf{k}\mathbf{2}$ yo,k2tog\* rep to end of round Round 6: Purl Round 7: Knit Rep these two rows 1 more time. Round 10: Purl Switch to larger needles and change to chosen skin color (SC). Round 11: \*k1,k2tog\* rep to end of round (27 sts) Round 12: k1fb of every stitch around (54 sts) Round 13 - 20: knit every round Begin working decreases Round 21: $^{\ast}\mathbf{k5},\mathbf{k2}\mathbf{tog}^{\ast}$ rep to last five stitches, k5 (47 sts) Round 22 - 26: knit every round Round 27: $\star|\mathbf{k4}$ k2tog\* rep to last st, k1 (40 sts) Round 28 - 30: knit every round Round 31: $\star|\mathbf{k3}$ k2tog\* (32 sts) Round 32 & 33: knit around Round 34: ${}^{\star}\mathbf{k}\mathbf{2}$ ssk\* rep to end (24 sts) Round 35: knit around Round 36: \*k1, k2tog\* (16 sts) Round 37: knit around Round 38: \*ssk\* rep to end of round (8 sts) Finish by darning remaining stsby threading the darning needle through the live stitches and pulling tight to cinch together. Weave in ends. Turn bag inside and with smaller needles pick up 40 sts around top edge where HC meets SC, using the HC yarn. Work even in stockinette stitch (knit every round) for 2". Felt by hand with hot water and soap. Bind off.
Work strap:
Knit I-Cord for desired length in HC yarn. Make it long enough to thread through each of the eyelets and to use as a shoulder strap.
Work dreadlocks:
Knit i-cords for desired hair lengths, one dread lock for each eyelet hole around top portion of head, leave enough tail on each dreadlock to secure it to the inside of the eyelet hole. Needle felt or embroider face and perform voodoo all at the same time! Create face by using a darning needle and scrap yarn to create eyes, nose and mouth. Use your imagination! You can make it look as much like your very own "“Ex" or vague enough to be mildly threatening to anyone who fits the description.
