Draco The Dragonet
Copyright @ Steve Smy, 2011

This knitted “shape" is designed to resemble a very young dragon. It is the second Flats pattern (the first was Flat Ted) in a series of shapes. The “belly" of the dragon is knitted larger than necessary but that's to allow it to roll at the edge, forming a smooth curve. When attaching to card or other surface, form the shape of the belly using that rolled edge, while flattening the rest of the shape. If you wish, you can glue or sew it to preserve the shape. Requirements: UK size 9/US size 5/3.75mm knitting needles. Small quantity odd main colour yarn in Double Knit (8 ply) weight. Very small amount of thread/yarn for embroidered eye. Yarn needle.
