The Frilly Pink Dolly Blanky
A blanket designed with the Baby Annabell doll (36cm) in mind. The blanket is knit up in two pieces - the blanket body (reversible), and the frilly edging (uses short rows). You'll need around 50g DK weight yarn for the blanket body, and a variegated yarn for the edging, plus a pair of 4mm needles.
Blanket Pattern
Cast On 70sts. Rows 1 & 2 (1x1 Rib) - \*K1, P1\* to the end of the row. Rows 3 & 4 (Garter Stitch) - Knit Across. Repeat these 4 rows until the blanket is square. End with a row 2 and bind off.
Ruffled Edge
Cast On 12sts Row 1 (WS) - Knit. Row 2 - P9, turn, K9. Row 3 - P9, K3. Row 4 - K3, P9. Row 5 - K9, turn, P9. Row 6 - Knit. Repeat these 6 rows until you have enough to fit around all edges of theblanket body. Bind off, and with right sides of blanket body and edging together; backstitch edging all the way around on the wrong sides.
