Materials
-Lily Sugar'n Cream\* in Tangerine (O) and Yellow (Y) -US #9 needles -Scrap yarn or poly-fil -2 black beads or black scrap yarn for eyes -Pink scrap yarn for mouth \*You can use whatever yarn you wish but the 100% cotton makes the finished product easy to scrunch to give your Slimey an inching inchworm effect.
Pattern
With Us #9 needles and using two strands as one cast on 5 sts in O Row 1: Knit Row 2: Purl Row 3: Inc. 2 (7 sts) page 1/2 Rows 4-6: With Y, continue in stocking stitch Rows 7-9: With O, continue in stocking stitch Rows 10-12: With Y, continue in stocking stitch Rows 13-15: With O, continue in stocking stitch Rows 16-18: With Y, continue in stocking stitch Rows 19-21: With O, continue in stocking stitch Rows 22-24: With Y, continue in stocking stitch Rows 25-28\*: With O, continue in stocking stitch \*Note this is four rows instead of three.
Finishing:
Pull ends through remaining live stitches and seam closed stuffing lightly with scrap yarn or poly-fil. The more lightly you stuff the easier to make your Slimey inch along later. Sew on black beads (or stitch black French knots for a younger child) for eyes between the last yellow row and end four orange rows.
