Prue's Basket Weave Scarf
This scarf is worked in multiples of 8sts + 10sts - so if you choose to opt for a different yarn weight and needle size you can adjust the amount of stitches accordingly to determine the width of your finished project. The pattern is easily memorised, and very beginnerfriendly. You'll need around 200g of DK weight yarn - I used Foxy DK by Courtelle in lilac. You'll also need one pair of 4mm knitting needles. Cast on 58sts Row 1 (RS) - K4, \*P2, K6\*, to the last 6sts, P2, K4. Row 2 (WS) - P4, \*K2, P6\*, to the last 6sts, K2, P4. Row 3 - Repeat row 1. Row 4 - Knit across. Row 5 - K8, \*P2, K6\*, to the last 10sts, P2, K8. Row 6 - P8, \*K2, P6\*, to the last 10sts, K2, P8. Row 7 - Repeat row 5. Row 8 - Knit across.

Repeat these 8 rows until your scarf is the desired length. End with row 8 of the above pattern, and then bind off purlwise.

Weave in all loose ends, and your new scarf is ready to wear!
