E Cigarette Holder 1

Materials
10 - 15 yards Cascade Fixation US #4 straight needles, crochet hook of same size
Notes
I like a really tight knit so I used a smaller needle than is typically called for I used the elastic yarn because I wanted it to fit snugly enough that my ecigarette would not slide around · There are 2 options for the neck cord The stitches across the bottom don't do anything- I just didn't want to cut the yarn and seam anything

Hold this big loop by the folded end (away from the ball of yarn) until it begins to doubleback on itself. | |||

Fold it in half again by putting the whole ball of yarn through that hole and sliding that folded end up to where you tied the loose ends of yarn together at thestart. Continue twisting until it has the length and the look that you want; then just lay it in your lap as you work with the other end that is still attached to your 7.Tie a knot in the end of the yarn closest to the ball and then cast on 50 stitches. |
Body (40 minutes)
Row 1: Knit Row 2: Purl Repeat rows 1 and 2 twice more Row 7: Knit Bind off using one of the really stretchy bind-off methods. I used Jen’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. DO NOT CUT YARN With wrong sides together, fold work in half. Pick up the loose end of the neck cord and hold between the sides of the work right up at thecorner. Single crochet to join the first side, the tip of the neck cord, and the other side together. Working stitch by stitch, use single crochet to join the rest of the side together. When you get to the bottom where the work is folded, chain 6 and work your way up the other side in the same manner.
MODIFICATIONS
To modify this pattern, measure the length of your ecigarette. Then figure out your stitches per inch based on the needle and yarn tha you want to use and multiply that number by the length of your ecigarette TIMES TWO (because you fold it in half). Then, when you are knitting the body, every now and then, arrange half of the stitches so they are not crunched up and lay your ecigarette on the knitting right up against the needle. Once it is just a bit wider than your ecigarette (to cover the sides)- you are all done.
