TWISTY TURNY MITTS by Paula McKeever Snapper Knits

PATTERN NOTES
· Instructions are provided both in written form and in charts. · Size modification can either be done by adjusting the needle size, or adding or removing a pattern repeat of 6 stitches. · As an alternative, Brown Sheep Lanaloft gave a gauge of $7\mathrm{sts}=1^{\circ}$ .Casting on 42 sts resulted in a mitt measuring $6^{\circ}$ The stitch pattern is quite elastic, and easily fit a $7.5^{\circ}$ hand.

Next row: K3, K2tog, K15, slip last stitch onto first needle, ssk. Work 4 rows in stockinette stitch on remaining 20 sts, then in twisted rib (K1b, P1) for 5 rows. Hourglass Eyelet Pattern from A Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara G. Walker Instructions for Elizabeth Zimmerman's sewn bind off can be found in the Summer 2006 issue of Knitty.com: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/FEATsum06TT.html

Chart Notes: The two symbols “"V" and " \* " written together represent the Kf-b stitch. When you see the ${}^{66}\nabla^{\circ}$ , you will knit into the front of the stitch, as usual, and when you see the “ \* “ following to the left, you will knit into the back of that same stitch, resulting in the increased stitch.
