Working the Thumb
Carefully remove the waste yarn, and place the resulting live stitches on two needles. You should have 5 stitches on the needle below the thumb opening, and 4 on the needle above. Attach yarn and work the five stitches on the lower needle - k2, p1, k2. Using a 3rd dpn, pick up and knit 3 stitches in the space between the upper and lower needles. Work the four stitches from the upper needle - k2, p1, k1. Pick up and knit 3 stitches in the space between the upper and lower needles. 15 stitches. Work 7 rounds - k2, p1, k7, p1, k4. Bind off all stitches.
Left Mitt
