PATTERN NOTES
. Gauge 4.5 sts/in in stockinette stitch · Size can be adjusted by going up or down a needle size, or by adding or deleting a pattern repeat of 9 stitches. · If additional sts are added, make sure to decrease to a multiple of 4 sts for the ribbing part · Length can be adjusted by working additional repeats of the stitch pattern, or making the ribbing longer. · Directions are written for circular knitting, but could also be knit flat, then seamed. Instructions would have to be converted to accommodate this. · Lace section is done on larger needles to fall over the top of the boot. It can be done on the same size as the ribbing if it is to be worn up the leg. Instructions: CO 63 sts loosely on larger needles. Begin lace pattern, work 4 repeats.
