A quick yet challenging gift for a friend, or yourself. This is just endless cabling. Fairly complex cables, too! Because of all the cables, the cup cozy is quite thick, nicely insulating your fingers from your hot hot beverage. Three top variations are included: A fetching ruffle, a flirty fluted number, and a tailored i-cord. Notes
There are three types of rounds: WYSiwYK (what you see is what you knit): In other words, knit the knits and purl the purls. Easy peasy. Oh, only you don't work all the way to the end. The last few stitches go on a cable needle, and get worked into the next round. Twisty: this is where the action happens: Big 2x2, 2x3, 0r 3x3 knit cables, with some purl breathing space in between. Setup: this is where you get ready for the next twisty round, basically by moving the purl spacers around. A handy mnemonic for these rounds: Purls travel alone, in the back, and wind up together. M1 I like TechKnitter's very nearly invisible increase, but you can use any M1 you like. #B/Fx# Place the first number of sts on a cable needle and hold to Back or Front. Work the second number, then work all from cable needle. E.g., 3Bx2 means hold 3 sts on cable needle to Back, K2, then K3 from cable needle.
