Lace Collar:
The Lace Collar is knit in two halves that will be seamed together at the center back. First measure the circumference of your neck or the neckline you want to adorn/embellish with the collar. Divide this measurement by 2 and then substract 2.5cm/1". The number you now have will be called your 'desired length'. First Half: Cast on 13 sts. Row 1: Sl1, yo, k2tog, [yo2, k2tog] 5 times. 18sts Row 2: [K2, p1] 5 times, k3. Row 3: Sl1, yo, k2tog, k15. Row 4: BO5 knitwise, k12. 13sts Row 5: Sl1, yo, k2tog, k1, yo2, k2tog, k1, yo4, k2tog, k1, y02, k2tog, k1. 18sts Row 6: [K3, p1] twice, k1, [p1, k3] twice, k1. Row 7: Sl1, yo, k2tog, k15. Row 8: BO5 knitwise,k12. 13sts Repeat rows 1 to 8 until the side with the slipped sts reaches desired length. You should end with row 4 or 8. Put the stitches on a stitch holder. Break the yarn leaving a long tail. Second Half: Work identical to first half excep for when you bind off sts on rows 4 and 8, remember to bind them off purlwise. When the second half is as long as the first one, return the first half on a needle and graft both halves together using one of the yarn tails. You can find a tutorial on how to graft garter stitch under http://herrlichkeiten.net/blog/grafting. Finishing: Weave in all ends and block. After blocking trim all ends. Weave the satin ribbon through the eyelets and wear with a smile.
