TURBAN HAT

Rnd 1: With G or H hook and red, ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. Continue in a spiral fashion using a placemarker if desired. (6sc) Rnd 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12sc) Rnd 3: 2sc in each sc around. (24sc) Rnd 4: 1sc in each sc around. (24sc) Rnd 5: \*1sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc\* rep from \*to\* around. (36sc) Rnd 6: \*1sc in next 2sc, 2sc in next sc\* rep from \*to\* around. (48sc) Rnd 7: 1sc in each sc around. (48sc) Rnd 8: 1sc in the backloop of each sc around. In next sc.(48sc) You now are going to work in rows Row 1: Ch11, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in the remaining 9chs. Slst in same st as beg, slst in each of the next 2 sc on rnd 8. Ch1,turn.. (10sc) Row 2: Skip the first 3slsts, 2sc in the next sc, 1sc in each of the next 9sc. Ch1, turn. (11sc) Row 3: 1sc in each of the next 10sc, 2sc in the next sc, slst in beg, slst in each of the next 2sc on rnd 8. Ch1, turn. (12sc) Row 4: Skip the 1t 3slsts, 1sc in the next 12sc. Ch1, turn. (12sc) Row 5: 1sc in next 12sc, slst in the beg sc, 1slst in next 2sc on rnd 8. (12sc) Rows 6-48: Repeat rnds 4 and 5 alternately.Ending with a row 4

INSIDE FLAP

Row 49:Now just working on the 12sc, do not attach to top of hat, 1sc in each of the 10sc, dec next 2sc tog. Ch1, turn. (11sc) Row 50: Dec next 2sc tog, 1sc in each sc across. Ch1, turn. (10sc) Row 51: 1sc across to last 2 sc, dec last 2sc tog. Ch1,turn. (9sc) Rows 52-59: Repeat rows 50 & 51 alternately until you have 1sc left. Fasten off and tac row 59 down to the inside of hat on rnd 8.

OUTSIDE FLAP

Row 1: With G or H hook and red, attach red yarn to opposite side of starting chain, up at the top where the rnds are. 1sc in each of the next 8sc, dec the next 2sc tog. (9sc) Row 2: Dec next 2sc tog, 1sc in each sc across. Ch1, turn. (8sc) Row 3: 1sc across to last 2 sc, dec last 2sc tog. Ch1,turn. (7sc) Rows 4-9: Repeat rows 2 & 3 alternately until you have 1sc left. Then ch1,turn. 1Sc in each end of row down the outside flap and around to the inside flap. Fasten off and weave in ends.

GOLD TRIM

Rnd 1: With G or H hook and Gold, with top of hat facing you, and holding the sc from the outside flap up to the unworked stitches on rnd 8, work 1sc in both stitches in the next 9ends of rows, to connect the outside flap to rnd 8, 1sc in each unworked st from rnd 8. then 1sc in each sc around entire outside of hat to the inside flap. Fasten off and weave in ends.

BOOTIES

SOLE-make 2

Rnd 1: With G or H hook and red, ch7, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in the next 4ch, ch as beg. Slst in 1st st to join. Ch1. Do not turn. (14sc) Rnd 2: 2sc in same st as joining, 2sc in next sc, 1sc in next 4sc, 2sc in next 3sc, 1sc in next 4sc, 2sc in last sc. Slst to join. Ch1 (20sc) Rnd 3: 2sc in same st as joining, 1sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc, 1sc in next 5sc, (2sc in next sc, 1sc in next sc) x 3times, 1sc in next 5sc, 2sc in last sc. Slst to join. Ch1 (26sc) SIDES Rnd 1: 1sc in the backloop of the same st as joining, 1sc in the back loops of each sc around. Slst to join. (26sc) Row 1: Ch 9. 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each of the next 7chs,Slst back into beg st, 1slst in each of the next 2sc on rnd 1 of sides. Ch1,turn. (8sc) Row 2: Skip the first 3slsts, 1sc in each of the next 8sc. Ch1, turn.(8sc) Row 3: 1sc in each of the next 8sc, 1slst in same beg st, 1slst in next 2sc on rnd1 of sides. Ch1,turn. (8sc) Rows 4-26: repeat rows 2 & 3 alternately. (8sc) Row 27: 1sc in next 8sc, 1slst in same beg st. Now continue onto inside flap.

INSIDE FLAP

Row 1: 1sc in each ch on the opposite side of the starting ch. Ch1,turn. (8sc) Row 2: Dec first 2sc tog, 1 sc in each of the next 4sc, dec the next 2sc tog. Ch1, turn. (6sc) Row 3: 1sc in each of the next 4sc, dec the next 2sc tog. Ch1,turn. (5sc) Row 4: dec the first 2sc tog, 1sc in each of the next 3sc. Ch1,turn. (4sc) Row 5: 1sc in each of the next 2sc, dec the last 2sc tog. Ch1,turn.(3sc) Row 6: dec the first 2sc tog, 1sc in next sc. Ch1,turn. (2sc) Row 7: Dec the last 2sc tog. Ch1,turn.(1sc) You now are going to work a rnd Rnd 1: 1sc in each end of row around entire bootie opening and at the same time, skip a few ends of rows so that you have 2Osc on the opening of booties. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with.Attach inside flap to rnd 1 on inside of bootie. If you want the front flap to cross opposite on each booties. Reverse rows 1-7 for other bootie.

TRIM

Rnd 1: With G or H hook, attach gold yarn to row 7 on inside flap. 1sc in each sc around , working over to the 8sc on row27. Now bring row 27 over to the sole and working thru both thickness, 1sc in each sc from row 27 and in the unworked loops on sole. Continue around the sole working 1sc in each unworked loop on bottom of sole. Slst to join. Fasten off and tie in ends.

SMALL GOLD FLOWERS

Rnd 1: With gold and G hook, ch2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, \*ch2,keeping last loop of each dc on hook, 2dc in ch, Yo and draw thru all 3 loops on hook, ch2, sc in ch, \* repeat from \* to\* 4more times. Slst to join. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with. Attach flowers to booties.

LARGER FLOWER for HAT

Rnd 1: With G hook and gold, ch4, slst to form a loop, ch1,10sc in loop, slst to join Ch1(10sc) Rnd 2: 1sc in first same st as joining, \*4dc in next sc, 1sc in next sc\* repeat from \* to \* 4 more times. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with.
