CoeDeborah @ AOL.com Sizes: Woman's Small (Medium, large) Knitted Measurements: Bust 38" (40", 44") 97cm(101cm, 111cm) Materials: 2 skeins each of Lisa Souza's 100% Merino Hardtwist DK: Peacock and Warm Gold One #6 29" circular needle, 4 #6 DPNs (or size needed to obtain gauge) Tapestryneedle Stitchmarkers nds = 4” using #6 needles AFTER BLOCKING (swatch first to obtain gauge) lctions: Using Peacock, CO 116 (122, 134) sts. Place st marker, then, using Warm Gold, CO another 116 (122, 134) sts for a total of 232 (244, 268) sts. care not to twist sts. Place marker to mark beginning of round. Follow CHART A which will take you to the halfway maker, then reversing colors, follow RT B for the rest of each round for 78 rounds. \* If you want the sweater longer than 24", add solid rounds here before proceeding. 5 rounds will add an ipproximately. Now begin working the charts as before, but this time, work them from top to bottom, or, round 78 down to round 1, seting up the sleeve at end of round 65, and beginning of round 66. et up steeks as follows: At the end of round 65, and using a backward loop CO, add 5 sts, 2 of background color, 2 of the second color and 1 of the backg1 olor. Place marker which marks the beginning of round 66. CO 5 more sts: 1 of the background color of the second side, 2 of the other color and 2 of the ackground color. (You want the edge steek sts to match the body on each side) So AABBA marker BAABB. Continue knitting the chart around to the steek sts, knit 5 steek sts, pass marker, knit next 5 and continue with the chart through round 1. With appropraite ackground colors and single thickness (no floating second strand) knit 4 more rounds to be turned under as neck facing. BO. es: Make 1 each of CHART C and CHART D. Worked in the round. With color indicated in chart, CO 72 sts on DPNs. Place marker at color change (after and beginning of round being careful not to twist sts. Knit 83 rounds. BO. \*Sleeves are loose on a small, and they should fit the larger sizes, as is. But, fee : add sts evenly to each side of the chart to increase sleeve circumference..adding 2 sts to each side, should add about an inch. If you do add an inch, start eks 2 rounds sooner to accommodate the larger sleeve. Construction and finishing: Carefully cut up center of steeks. Secure steek sts with machine stitching or close basting sts. Machine st or carefully hand stit houlder seams one inch deep. Leave desired-width neck opening. Turn under one inch and, with appropriate color yarn, hem st under to complete neck. Pi leeves to armholes so that the color 'seams" line up tp and bottom. Pin in place and graft or sew sleeves to sweater body. 'ie in all yarn join ends. Soak and block sweater. Steam press bottom hem and sleeve edge to lie flat, if necessary..
