You need:
5 dpns 5 mm and yarn to fit. used 2 strings of |celandic woo!
Knit mailmittens like this:
CO 42 st. Knit 3 rows stockinette Then knit like this: 1. and 3. needle: 2in1 (or k1, yo), k8, 2tg 2. and 4. needle: k1, ssk, k8, 2in1 (or yo, k1) After 15 rows start increasing for thumb on needle 2 like this (cont. Incs and decs) 1. increase-needle; pick up a stitch after last stitch on needle 2. increase-needle; knit 2 st in the stitched you picked up 3. and following increas-needles; knit 2 st in the first and last stitch (each side) of the thumb Continue increasing until you have 1 5 thumbstitches. Put them on a holder Continue with the mitten until it covers the littlefinger. Then stop incs in the sides and continue only with 2tg and ssk until 4 stitches remain. Pull the thread through and weave in. Put the thumbstitches on needles and knit thumb. When thumb almost covers thumbfinger, decrase 1 st in each side until 4 stitches remain. Pull the thread through and weave in.
