# Hubby Hat

This hat is based on a scarf pattern by Monika Steinbauer called 'His (birthday) scarf.'You can find it here on Ravelry.
I loved the pattern and when I finished my scarf I really wanted a matching hat to go with it too. I couldn't find one so I came up with this. I wrote this more than a year ago but only now I finally managed to put it into a pdf, so please forgive me if there are any mistakes.
materials needed:
Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran - 2 skeins (I used 1.5 skein) Use any colour you like, I used shade 300013 - burgundy Needles: 4.5mm (if you are a loose knitter try 4mm) Tapestry needle Head circumference - 59cm/23" Flat measurements: hat is 19.5cm/7.25" deep from the top to the end of the rib edge My hat came out quite stretchy and would easily fit a larger head. If you want it slightly smaller you may want to use smaller needles for a tighter knit.
K - knit,
P- purl K2tg - knit 2 stitches together P2tg - purl 2 stitches together st or sts - stitch or stitches co - cast on, BO - bind off Structure of the hat: It is worked flat, there is 1 edge st on both ends of the hat which are always knitted, in between there are 12 groups of 7 sts So, we have: [1/ 12x (group of 7sts)/1] = 86sts
