Transform a few scraps of yarn and a little stuffing into cute celebrations of spring. Left to right (front row): chick, owlet, duckling: (back row): lamb, bunny, frog.

Materials:
Yarn - Samples are shown in worsted weight scraps from my stash. I used a textured yarn for the lamb's ears. Needles - Suitable needles for knitting in the round in a size needed to create a firm fabric that will not expose stuffing whenstuffed. Other - Tapestry needle and poly-fil stuffing; poly-fil stuffing beads (optional). Gauge: Gauge is less important than the qualities of the fabric. Fabric should be firm and close-knit enough that stuffing will not show through gaps when stuffed. Begin swatching with needles 2 to 3 sizes smaller than those recommended on the ball band.
Notes:
1) BO means bind off. 2) CO means cast on. 3) k means knit. 4) k2tog means knit 2 sts together (a right-slanting decrease). 5) ssk means slip, slip, knit (a left-slanting decrease). 6) kfb means to knit in the front and the back of the same st (an increase). 7) repmeansrepeat. 8) st / sts means stitch / stitches. 9) To weave in ends: Take end through stuffed piece to opposite side. Add a bit of tension and trim off.
