Mistie the Easter bunny!
Description
This adorable bunny headband fits the Mistie doll(or any doll of a similar size including my Bea doll). Ideal for a festive Easter time, this headband and surprise pouch combo is a very quick project, leaving you ample time to enjoy your favoritesweets! Pattern includes instructions for the headband and carrot pouch. The pattern for the doll (including dress, shoes and legwarmers) is available separately.. Abbreviations st(sts) - stitch(stitches) sl - slip stitch SC - single crochet 2sc - 2 single crochet in the same stitch sk - skip HDC - half double crochet 3HDC - 3 half double crochet in the same stitch Material 5 mm hook Worsted weight yarn White -less than 20g. Orange - about 15g. Green - about 15g. Pink - about 5g Yarn needle 1 cm button for headband closure
Gauqe & instructions
Gauge isn't too important, the HDC's make the headband a bit forgiving as far as size goes. The headband is worked flat, the ears are separately worked in the round and then sown on.
Headband (5 mm)
Row 1) With white, ch 36 and turn, HDC to end (34) Row 2) ch2, turn, HDC to end, ch x 6, sl in row 1 to form the button hole. Finish off, weave in ends. Sew the button of your choice on the back to fasten the headband around your doll'shead. Round 1) With white, work 4 sc in magic ring (4) Round 2) \*2sc,sc\*around (6) Round 3) \*2sc, sc, sc\* around (8) Round 4-9)sc around (8) Finish off leaving long tail for sewing. Inner ears (optional): With contrasting color, embroider the inner ear.
Assembly
You may want to put the headband on the doll and pin the ears in place first for optimal placement. Sew the ears in place, slightly off center and weave in your ends. Carrot pouch (5 mm) Round 1) With orange, work 4sc in magic ring (4) Round 2) \*2sc, sc\* around (6) Round 3) sc around (6) Round 4) \*2sc, sc, sc\* around (8) Round 5-6) sc around (8) Round 7) \*2sc, sc, sc, sc (10) Round 8-10) sc around (10) Round 11) \*2sc, sc, sc, sc, sc\* around (12) Round 12-14) sc around (12) change to green at the end of round 14 Round 15-16) sc around (12) Round 17) \*ch 2, skip 1, sc\* repeat around. Round 18) \*sl into ch space, 3HDC in ch space\* repeat around. Finish off, weave in ends. Drawstring: With green yarn, chain 36, finish off and weave in ends.
