COCOON
Rnd 1: (RS) With Gold yarn and I hook, ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. Continue in a spiral fashion, using a placemarker if desired.(6sc) Rnd 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12sc) Rnd 3: \*1sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc \* rep from \* to\* around. (18sc) Rnd 4: \*1sc in the next 2sc, 2sc in next sc \* rep from \* to \* around. (24sc) Rnd 5: \*1sc in the next 3sc, 2sc in next sc \* rep from \* to \* around. (30sc) Rnd 6: \*1sc in the next 4sc, 2sc in next sc \* rep from \* to \* around. (36sc) Rnd7: \*1sc in each of the next 5sc, 2sc in next sc \* rep from \* to \* around. (42sc) Rnd 8: \*1sc in the next 6sc, 2sc in next sc \* rep from \* to \* around. (48sc) Rnd 9: \*1sc in he next 7sc, 2sc in next sc \* rep from \* to \* around. (54sc) Rnd 10: \*1sc in the next 8sc, 2sc in next sc \* rep from \* to \* around. (66hdc) Note: you are now changing from working in rounds to working in rows. Row 1:Ch1, turn, 1hdc in next 64hdc, ch1,turn. (64hdc) neck opening. Rows 2-7: 1hdc in each hdc across. Ch1, turn. (64hdc) End of row 7, fasten off and weave in ends.
NECK TRIM
Rnd 1: With I hook and coffee, attach yarn to back of cocoon on row7, on the inside or wrong side of cocoon, 1sc in same st as joining, 1sc in each sc around neck opening. Slst to join. Ch1 Rnds 2-3: 1sc in each sc around entire neck opening. Slst to join. Ch1. End of rnd 3, Fasten off and weave in ends. Turn collar down as shown in pictures
BEANIE
(ch3 counts as first dc)
Rnd 1: (RS) With Gold yarn and H hook, ch 3, 11dc in 3rd ch from hook. Slst to join. Ch3.(12dc) Rnd 2: 1dc in same st as joining, 2dc in each dc around. Slst to join. Ch3 (24dc) Rnd 3: 2dc in next dc, \*dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, \* rep from \*to \* around. Slst to join. Ch3. (36dc) Rnd 4: 1dc in the next 4dc, 2dc in the next dc, \*1dc in the next 5dc, 2dc in next dc\* rep from \* to \* around. Slst to join. Ch3. (42dc) Rnds 5-8: Dc in each dc around. Slst to join. Ch3. (48dc) Rnd 9: 1sc in each sc around. Slst to join. Fasten off gold Rnd 10: With H hook and coffee, attach yarn to where you fastened off, 1sc in same st as joining, 1sc in each sc around. Slst to join. Fasten off and weave in ends.
TUFF OF HAIR
With H hook and coffee yarn, attach to top of row 1 on top of hat. Ch 6, sc in top of hat, ch 6, sc in same stitch as first one, ch 6, sc in next stitch on top of hat. Repeat this all the way around on round one, working as many ch loops as desired until you get a cute little group of hair. Fasten off and tie in ends.
INSIDE OF EARS-make 2
With H hook and coffee, ch 6, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1hdc in next ch, dc in the next 2 chs, 3dc in last ch. Now working on opposite side of ch, dc in next 2 chs, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch. Fasten off
OUTSIDE OF EARS-make 2
With H hook and Gold, ch 6, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1hdc in next, dc in the next 2 chs, 3dc in last ch. Now working on opposite side of ch, dc in next 2 chs, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch. Fold the ear in half and work 1sc in next 2ends of rows on bottom of ear. Do not fasten off. Now place coffee inside of ear to the gold part, working thru both thickness, sc tog the brown ear to the gold ear, working 2sc in the 3dc that are on the tip of the ear. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with. Attach ears to top of hat as shown in pictures.
HORNS-make 2
With H hook and Warm Brown, ch 8, dc in 3rd ch from hook, sc in next ch, slst in the rest of the chains. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew with. Attach horn in between hair and ears. Rnd 1:With H hook and coffee, ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. (6sc) Rnd 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12sc) Rnd 3: 2sc in each sc around. (24sc) make various dots sizes, using this as a guide.
