Newborn Mittens

There is nothing more adorable and satisfying than knitting up wee things for newborns! Beautiful in their simplicity and peaceful in their neutral palette, these mittens are the perfect project/gift for a mom-to-be. Get your knit on!

Materials:
1 ball of Sublime baby cashmere merino silk DK or any DK weight yarn (only 10 g needed! Make 5 pairs with 1 ball!) 1 set of 3.75 mm double point needles 1 set of 4.00 mm double point needles 1 darning needle

Pattern:
Using 3.75 mm DPNS, cast on 20 sts. Divide sts 8 - 8 - 4 onto three needles. K2, P2 for 8 rounds. Switch to 4.0 mm needles and knit in st st for 12 rounds. Decrease: K1, ssk, K4, k2tog, K1 - repeat to end of round. K 1 round. K1, ssk, k2, K2tog, K1 - repeat to end of round. K1, ssk, K2tog, K1 - repeat to end of round. Do not bind off. Instead, leave a long tail and close the top of the mitten with the kitchener st. Turn the mitten inside out and weave in the ends.
